Stanford Limits Attendance At Sporting Events Due To Coronavirus

The women's NCAA tournament may be one of many sporting events affected by this new policy. The University announced it is limiting public attendance at on-campus events until at least April 15th due to the threat of coronavirus.

Standford is set to host one of the NCAA women's basketball games during the March tournament, but Maples Stadium will now only allow 2,345 spectators. This will certainly affect attendance.

The men's basketball team is set to play at Oregon State Thursday night and Oregon on Saturday to close out the regular season.

Baseball games at Stanford's Sunken Diamond are limited to 1,000 fans and Maples will cap their gymnastic, volleyball, and wrestling events at 2,195 fans.
