Preserve Fake Flowers in the Dishwasher

Though fake flowers might seem like cheesy decor to some, they're a lot longer-lasting than real ones. You can throw them in the dishwasher to clean them up and call it a day. This is one of those things you probably never thought to wash, but you can!

To have an ice cold can in just a few minutes, put your drink in a large pot and cover it with ice. Fill the pot with water, add a couple cups of salt, and stir until the salt is dissolved. Your canned beverage will magically be cold.
With the water running at about half throttle, drop in orange or lemon peels. Run the disposer for five seconds. Citric acid from the peels softens crusty waste and attacks smelly bacteria. Give the acid about 15 minutes to do its work.
