What's ESPN supposed to do when no sports are being played? What are viewers supposed to watch when their favorite teams have been benched until further notice?
As of right now ESPN has no longterm date for when their broadcasts will resume.
“We appreciate your patience as we work through modifications for the days ahead,” ESPN vice president Josh Krulewitz said regarding questions about the current broadcasts. “Our programming team is hard at work to fill the holes on our networks, and we will provide updates when finalized.”
Thankfully, ESPN can take advantage of the several 30-for-30 documentary fims and yearround classic games in its archives that will keeps fans satisfied for at least a little while. Despite the replacement features, fans will miss big tournaments like basketball's NCAA tournament and golf's 2020 Master's tournament, one of the biggest in the PGA.
