Philadelphia is known for its outlandish sports fans, but no one could have predicted the runaway Phillies baseball fanatic who stormed the field this past week. During a hot and rainy game against the Dodgers, one man in the stands decided to use the tarp covering the field as his own jumbo-sized slip and slide.
Sorry #Phillies, #Dodgers, this guy wins the rain delay. pic.twitter.com/1UxX6ZuB6t
— OtterHooligan (@OtterHooligan) July 18, 2019Citizen’s Bank Park was abuzz with cheers from the crowd as this man took the field. However, he was soon arrested after his five minutes of fame were up. He can be seen in the video attempting to get one good slide across the tarp before getting caught. Other Phillies fans can be heard cheering on the unnamed slider, and sighing in defeat as he’s taken away by officials.

A young boy retrieved a foul ball from the stands and instead of keeping for himself, decided to give his new prize to another young boy, demonstrating a random act of kindness during the game. The two strangers exchanged a hug before returning to their seats.
