GoFundMe For A Scammed Fyre Festival Caterer Has Exceeded Its Goal

Maryann Rolle is a restaurant owner who was completely scammed by the notorious Fyre Festival crew. Netflix and Hulu have put out documentaries on the failed venture and gives some more insight about what happened and on the people that got hurt. Rolle lost a lot of money paying her employees with her own money… Something that the guys at Fyre were supposed to handle.

“I went through about $50,000 of my savings,” Rolle explains on camera during Netflix’s Fyre: The Greatest Party That Never Happened.

Rolle describes the event in horrific detail as she worked her butt off to cater the event. It was all for nothing and left her in shambles.

“It has been an unforgettable experience catering to the organizers of Fyre Festival. Back in April 2017 I pushed myself to the limit catering no less than a 1000 meals per day,” she wrote in the description for the fundraiser. “Breakfast, lunch, and dinner were all prepared and delivered by Exuma Point to Coco Plum Beach and Roker’s Point where the main events were scheduled to take place. Organizers would also visit my Exuma Point location to enjoy the prepared meals.”

In just one week, the goal of $123K has been exceeded with a total amount of $137K.

Everyone is just glad to see Rolle get her money back. Hopefully, she can move on from this experience. Unfortunately, there are many vendors and artists who were still put out and are bankrupt from the event.
