Change of Timeline
In March of 2017, the skull of an Elasmotherium was discovered in Kazakhstan, changing the timeline of their extinction to much later, only 29,000 years ago. With this monumental change in the timeline, this would make it possible for humans to have seen the Elasmotherium and, thus, inspire the unicorn legend.
