RuPaul’s Drag Race: All Stars 4 Has Most Divisive Crowning Yet

Fans of RuPaul’s Drag Race have seen it all—from eliminated queens coming back to haunt contestants to choosing finalists by a committee of queens, Drag Race has become famous for its monopoly of “the twist.”

However, this season finale left viewers scratching their head. The cartwheels, the glamour, the build-up was all there, and then…the unthinkable. Two winners: Trinity Tuck and Monét X Change.

The powers that be decided this was the way to go, but why? Was it the threat of having Latrice and Manila come out on top? The possibility of Monique and Monét in the top two?

Both winners were decidedly worthy of the crown. However, this season’s ending, rather than serving as an upheaval of everything fans knew, petered out sadly, opening up both queens to substantial (and undue) criticism.
