Lost Dog Wandered Into Walmart And Found Owner Working

This dog barking up the right tree! June Rountree and her husband looked for their lost puppy Abby for three weeks. They drove through neighborhoods and called her name from their front door, but she never came home.  Rountree, 60, was heartbroken that her beloved 4-year-old black-and-white dog had gotten loose and escaped. Abby’s collar and leash were found in the backyard, suggesting that she had broken free of the ground stake keeping her there.

The couple had lost all hope that they would ever find Abby. Then, one day while June was working the cash register at Walmart, Abby waltzed right into the store and found June herself! The dog was running through the isles, and as soon as June saw the pup, she knew that Abby had returned to her. She watched in amazement as staffers struggled to capture the quick-running mutt.

"I’m a huge animal lover, so I just followed her, and she ran up to register No. 6," said one staffer. Register 6 was June's.

"I called her name and she came to me,"  said June. "I bent over and hugged her. I completely lost it then. I couldn’t speak. I was in complete shock and just couldn’t believe it."

June says she has no idea where the dog could have gone, or how she knew where June worked, but she's happy she found her. June brought Abby home for a big meal, a warm bath, and a peaceful night in her home.
