Dog Saves Seizing Owner by Flagging Down Car

"All I remember is waking up in the ambulance and being really confused; just like what is going on," Haley Moore recalled to a local news outlet.

The Ottawa woman was remembering her experience that had happened only a week before. Her beloved dog, Clover, had been instrumental in saving her life during a sudden medical emergency. While on a routine walk through Sittsville, Ottawa, Haley began seizing in the middle of the sidewalk. Clover immediately jumped into savior mode.

"It was really impressive, the dog actually blocked my way. She kind of backed into the road to block my truck," said Dryden Oatway.

Oatway was driving on the street when Clover flagged down the driver and led her to the distressed woman. She was able to call an ambulance, which came to Haley's rescue.

"The whole time she was backing down the street she had eyes on [Haley], didn't look away from her," Oatway recalled. "She kept her distance from me but made sure her owner was okay and that was amazing."

Another person was flagged down to lend a hand before Clover ran off to inform the family. By the time her parents had arrived, Haley was already being treated by medical professionals. No one knows what caused the seizure, but for now, Haley is fine and in recovery from her shocking seizure.

"You know how good animals are and she's a really amazing dog," said Haley "And I love her to death."
