Chews, treats, oils, topicals, and other CBD pet products are legal in the U.S. Experts warn pet owners that it’s important to be skeptical of products that make health-related claims about their products, as it is illegal, yet hasn’t stopped some companies from doing so.
In Canada, CBD is regulated by Health Canada regardless of its derivation, and products for pets are untested and unregulated by any authorizing agency.
