The Baghdad Batteries
These are a series of artifacts found in the Mesopotamia region back in the early centuries AD. Historians and archaeologists originally thought they were just pots for storage, but then realized they contained a copper rod that showed evidence of acid corrosion. That means that the pot probably contained liquid and would interact with the copper and produce an electrical charge, creating power!
