Princess Eugenie and her husband Jack Brooksbank welcomed a baby boy on Tuesday, and the first little sneak peek of the newborn is absolutely adorable. The baby wrapped his hand around Eugenie's thumb while Jack gently clasped the little guy's arm. The caption included two blue hearts with exclamation points to show her excitement. She's doing things in her own, modern way, and sharing big news with her fans and followers like any other person would — Instagram.
Eugenie's baby boy makes him this ninth grandchild for Queen Elizabeth II and the first grandchild for Eugenie's parents, Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson. Buckingham Palace also released an official birth announcement that read: "Her Royal Highness Princess Eugenie was safely delivered of a son today, 9th February 2021, at 8: 55 a.m. at The Portland Hospital," the palace said in a statement. "Jack Brooksbank was present. The Queen, The Duke of Edinburgh, The Duke of York, Sarah, Duchess of York, and Mr. and Mrs. George Brooksbank have been informed and are delighted with the news," the statement continued. "Her Royal Highness and her child are both doing well."
Jack and Eugenie received congratulations all around, even from her cousin Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle. The hospital, Portland Hospital in London, is where Eugenie herself was born, as well as where Markle gave birth to her son Archie, who will be 2 in May. Jack and Eugenie have been married since 2018 and announced in September 2020 that they were expecting their first child. Congratulations are most certainly in order for this little royal!
