McDonald's Is Adding This to Their Menu for the First Time in 10 Years

Die-hard McDonald's fans have finally been offered some respite from the devastating news that all-day breakfast will not be returning.

The chain has revealed that three new sweet treats will be added to the McDonald's menu for the first time in a decade. The McCafé Bakery lineup will include the Apple Fritter, Blueberry Muffin, and Cinnamon Roll.

The pastries will be available all day nationwide starting on October 28.

Although the chain's lunch and dinner sales have recovered from the tremendous impact of the pandemic, the breakfast segment quickly turned south, resulting in the decision to discontinue all-day breakfast.

Customers, of course, were less than thrilled about the idea, but franchises believed that the change would increase productivity and speed within their kitchens.

Although all-day breakfast might be gone, all-day pastries could fill that void for certain people. McDonald's has been experimenting with baked goods on and off since 1970.

"We know our customers deserve a break now more than ever, and are excited to give them another reason to visit their favorite breakfast destination by offering delicious flavors they crave, any time of the day," read the official statement signed by Linda VanGosen, VP of brand and menu strategy at McDonald's.
