Fatal Sinking
Out of the 2,453 passengers, and over 900 crew members, nearly 1,500 people perished in the ice cold waters. There were 833 First Class passengers, 614 Second Class passengers, and 1,006 Third Class passengers. It still stands as one of the deadliest disasters during peacetime.
