Titled American Murder: The Family Next Door, the documentary details Shannan Watts fighting for her tumultuous marriage. Apparently, Chris had been having an affair and told his mistress that Shannan's baby wasn't his, and that she was cheating as well. He strangled Shannan in their home and then drove his daughters to his job site at an oil field where he killed them. He was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole and spends 23 hours a day in his cell. He is "in a hell of his own making." The documentary will explore multiple angles of the case, with promising ratings.
