Little Girl Mistakes Bride for Cinderella and the Internet Responds in a Huge Way

There’s nothing 5-year-old Layla loves more than princesses, so when she saw a real-life princess at a park near her home, she just had to meet her.

“I just heard Layla run away from me screaming, ‘Cinderella! Cinderella!” said Jessica, Layla’s mom. “She definitely believed it was Cinderella.”

The woman she met? Olivia Spark, a heavy equipment operator from western New York, was taking some photos with her husband on their wedding day in Akron Falls Park. In her beautiful wedding gown, Layla thought she had spotted Cinderella and took off towards her.

While her mother called her back, there was no stopping Layla. Luckily, Olivia was happy to play along.

“I was more than happy to be Cinderella for that little girl,” she said.

Jessica said that normally Layla doesn’t talk to strangers, but Olivia’s likeness to the princess made her feel comfortable. She chatted with Layla for a while before letting her know that she had to return to the ball, but their newfound connection didn’t end there. Olivia and her family started a GoFundMe to send Layla to meet even more princesses at Disney World, giving the autistic little one, her dream come true.

“She’s the epitome of a true princess. She’s kind. She’s sweet. She went out of her way to make Layla’s day special, and who would do that other than a princess?” said Jessica.

Based on this fairy tale, it appears that not all princesses are created by Disney.
