Locals Speculations
The story of the ship from Namibian locals depict a harsh storm, although it is not certain that a storm is how the ship and its sailors met its fate. This story was been passed down from generations, as its origins were 500 years ago. Being in harsh waters, all alone in the massive ocean, makes it tough to survive. The ship crashed on the lagoon, where it was left untouched for nearly 500 years before being found with presumably all of the cargo still in tact. But the cargo itself is what made the excavation team and Namibian locals even more thrilled of this discovery!
