Henry Whitfield State Museum – Connecticut

Reverend Henry Whitfield was the leader of an English Puritan Comunity and the founder of Guilford College. Built in 1639,  the Whitfield family welcomed many guests to stay with them. The home stayed with his daughter, Dorothy, after his passing, and then she passed it on to a London merchant. It’s been a museum since 1904.
