Lionel Richie
Before Lionel Richie became a musician, he studied economics and played tennis at the Tuskegee Institute. He taught himself how to play the saxophone and was invited to join the funk band Commodores. Lionel quickly became a household name, and he started touring on his own solo act. He made the switch from Motown Records to Atlantic Records in the 2000s, and he's been there ever since.
