Samuel L. Jackson
Samuel L. Jackson is regularly referred to as one of the greatest actors of all time. However, before Jackson even considered acting, he was a social activist who participated in the Civil Rights Movement. Later in Jackson's life, he realized he was extremely good at acting, and his first role in Goodfellas cemented that. Four years later, Jackson got cast in Pulp Fiction, and the rest is history.
