Olivia Newton-John is posing for a photo in the romantic musical fantasy film Xanadu. She starred with Gene Kelly and Michael Beck, with music by Newton-John, Electric Light Orchestra, Cliff Richard, and The Tubes. The soundtrack was a total success was certified double platinum. The movie itself, however, was so horrible that it flopped in the box office, received mostly critically negative reviews, and even inspired the Golden Raspberry Awards, which was to honor the terrible films of the year.
