Elon Musk and Grimes have welcomed their newborn son into the world. The SpaceX CEO and musician have defied all expectations—or perhaps met them more pointedly than anyone could have imagined—by naming the child X Æ A-12.

To clear up any confusion, new mother Grimes came forward to clarify their intentions. She deciphered the name for her followers on Twitter, describing each component of the name.
X stands for the unknown variable; Æ is Grimes' elven spelling of Ai, which means love; A-12 is the precursor of the SR-17, an aircraft without weapons or defenses, "just speed." A also stands for "Archangel," which is Grimes' favorite song.
Still, people didn't really get it.
