German Shepherd Wins Every Family Game Night

Anya is great at family game night. The twist? She's a 4-year-old German Shepherd.

From Jenga to Tic-Tac-Toe, Anya joins just about any classic family game by gently picking up the pieces with her teeth.

"Anya never fails to amaze us," says Lori Knoble, Anya's mom. "From the beginning, Anya was incredibly helpful and smart. She would remove the clothes from the dry, bring us the T.V. remote, and everything."

Anya uses treats to show which square she wants to claim during a game of Tic-Tac-Toe.

Knoble and her husband John bought Anna from a local breeder when she was only 12 weeks old.

During the early days of quarantine back in April, the Ohio couple was looking for a way to pass the time, so they took out Jenga and began setting up the wooden blocks.

"There she was, ready to play along," Knoble said. "Without any training, she just seemed to figure out what to do. She saw me playing, went to grab a block, and managed to keep the tower upright—all so casually."

The Knobles filmed Anya in the midst of the game, which was the first of many the adorably clever dog got to play.

"She has truly been a blessing to us and we aspire to share her light-hearted, amazing, silly antics with the world in hopes of spreading love and joy," Knoble said.
