The 92nd Annual Academy Awards are almost underway, and the Academy of Motion Picture Arts announced their nominees this past week. There were tons of surprise picks, and more importantly, surprise snubs. Among these were Jennifer Lopez's role in Hustlers, Awkwafina's performance in The Farewell (which earned her a Golden Globe), and Greta Gerwig's directorial work on Little Women. Also, Adam Sandler, who was snubbed for his Uncut Gems role.
Fans were pretty bummed about the snub, considering the film had gained a lot of popularity nationwide. In typical Adam "The Sandman" Sandler fashion though, he had a pretty hilarious response. He posted a tweet that read "Bad news: Sandman gets no love from the Academy. Good news: Sandman can stop wearing suits." No more boring red carpets for this celebrity!

Congrats to all my friends who got nominated, especially Mama. pic.twitter.com/o1Ep3E7GRB
He also threw in a shout out to his friends who were granted nominations, including former costar Kathy Bates. Kathy costarred with Adam in the 1998 comedy The Waterboy as his mother. She was nominated for her role in Richard Jewel in the Best Supporting Actress category. "Congrats to all my friends who got nominated," wrote Sandler "Especially Mama."
