Hoda is a mother, again! The TODAY Show co-anchor made an announcement on Tuesday, revealing that she had adopted a baby girl named Hope Catherine. Hope joins older sister, Haley Joy, 2, completing the Kotb family.
When she called into the show to reveal her new bundle of joy, she exclaimed, “I’m feeding her, and I can’t believe it! I’m so happy she’s here!”
Hoda shared that her oldest daughter, Haley, has really taken to her role as big sis and shared that she has already tried to feed her baby sister raspberries and marched around the house saying “I’m a big sister!”
As the TODAY show anchors shared in Hoda’s joy, she spoke about having room in her heart to raise another child with boyfriend Joel Schiffman.
“You know what’s funny? You think that you’re full,” she said. “That’s exactly how I felt with Haley and Joel and everything. Joel and I were standing there when they hand you the baby, and it’s the closest thing to a live birth you’ll ever see, but in that moment, I was like, ‘Oh, my God, my heart just grew.’ It’s amazing. I can’t believe it’s happening.”
Hoda actually hinted at Hope’s adoption the day before she made her announcement when she shared an Instagram post the day before that read “Choose Hope.”
Sending congratulations and best of luck to this second time-mama.
