In the Beginning

In 1948, William Rosenberg opened the first ever Dunkin’ Donuts in Quincy, Massachusetts. At that time, the shop was called ‘Open Kettle’. While that name would probably be quite trendy now, in 1950 William’s architect suggested the name change to Dunkin’ Donuts, at the rest is history.
