Help Feed Your Communities This Holiday Season

End-of-the-year holidays can be stressful, but this is a great time to give back to communities that may be struggling with food availability and lack of housing. Some people may be struggling with family issues, while others deal with hunger. These stressors are only heightened by the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Food Research and Action Center has done extensive research on how folks without food have fared during the pandemic. According to the U.S. Department of Agriculture, over 13 million U.S. households have struggled with food insecurity since 2020.

If you are in a position to help, there are tons of ways to do so this holiday season!

  • Organize an online food drive (Help Feeding America has the tips!)
  • Fundraise with friends and family
  • Volunteer with local charities and food banks
  • Check-in with local businesses to see if they can redistribute left-over food

If you don't have the time for mental capacity to get out and help, sharing information about food drives, fundraisers, and charities help just as much!
