Burger King is Testing Plant-Based Chicken Nuggets

Having plant-based menu options is a must for restaurants in this day and age.

Burger King has realized that and is working on a way to introduce more plant-based goods. Starting today (Oct. 11) they will be testing plant-based chicken nuggets from Impossible Foods in Des Moines, Boston and Miami.

"This isn't the first time we've teamed up with Impossible to make waves in the industry. In 2019, we became the first quick-service restaurant to serve the award-winning, plant-based Impossible patty and offer the iconic Impossible Whopper," Ellie Doty, chief marketing officer for Burger King North America said. "So, it's only fitting we're the first global QSR to test the Impossible Nuggets. We're excited to hear what our guests in the test markets think of this latest innovation."

Burger King will also be adding more spicy menu options such as the new Ghost Pepper Chicken Nuggets, which are hitting menus today.

Burger King also said that they will try to match and mimic the taste of their original chicken nuggets.
