In the midst of it all, the ministry of tourism announced that they were disowning Fyre Festival. They cited the “total disorganization and chaos” that went down as none of the advice they gave the festival organizers were heeded. They cited that “The event organizers assured us that all measures were taken to ensure a safe and successful event but clearly they did not have the capacity to execute an event of this scale.” Â
