Prince William Refutes Harry and Meghan's Claims: "We Are Not a Racist Family"

The royal family was reportedly "stunned" after the reveal of Harry and Meghan's interview with Oprah Winfrey in which "no subject was off-limits." The major takeaways from the talk were that Meghan was reportedly suicidal following feelings of intense isolation and manipulation, she faced racism from other royals and palace staff, and her son Archie also faced the same criticisms. Now, Prince William is releasing his own statement before he's even spoken with his brother. "We are not a racist family," he said.

"The whole family is saddened to learn the full extent of how challenging the last few years have been for Harry and Meghan," an official statement from Buckingham Palace read. "The issues raised, particularly that of race, are concerning," the statement continued. "While some recollections may vary, they are taken very seriously and will be addressed by the family privately. Harry, Meghan and Archie will always be much loved family members."

Oprah asked Harry what the state of his relationship with his brother was like presently. "The relationship is space. Time heals all things, hopefully. I love William to bits. He's my brother. We've been through hell together," Harry added. "But we are on different paths." Whether Kate and Meghan are on good terms is unknown, but the Sussex's are taking space from the royals and the Cambridge's are addressing the tell-all in their own way.
