Puffy Sleeves!
As glamorous as these outfits were, they were mighty uncomfortable. Lined with stays and whale boning, the women were also stuck in these dresses with corsets that left them very little room to even breath! The sleeves, as puffy and wonderful as they are, were made so that women could not raise their elbows and allowed very little movement.
