So why did doctors not recognize it was a tumor all that time? She’d spent three months taking numerous pregnancy tests to prove she wasn’t carrying a baby. Louise Bryant explained how rare it was to have a tumor like hers. She said that every year there are “only about 60 women in the U.K. [who] are diagnosed with it”. Hence why many of the doctors ruled it out as a possible problem or didn’t even consider it in the first place. It was because the tumor itself was so rarely developed.
