Amelia Earheart, 1937
The famous pilot was photographed in front of the plane that would carry her to her demise right before her voyage. Many believed her plane crashed and sunk after she ran out of fuel while searching for the island she was supposed to land on. There are other conspiracy theories, even ones where she is still alive, but they don’t have sufficient enough evidence to hold true.
