Robert Landsburg was a photographer who caught this photo of the earth's terrifying power. The eruption was heavily documented, but it was difficult to do without getting burned. When he saw the explosion, he knew he couldn't escape mother nature, so he snapped several quick pictures and then shoved the film in a bag.
