Cinco de Mayo is Coming Up Soon, and We've Got Some Low Cost Deals for You

So we get to enjoy great deals on food and drinks while still supporting local businesses that have been hit hard by the Covid-19 pandemic? Sign us up!

If you're one of the poor souls that's stuck inside your home for Cinco de Mayo (we hope you are, it's still dangerous out there, we pity and salute you.

Obviously this year isn't going to be as exciting as the last, but we can still celebrate the Mexican army's victory over France with the essentials.

The folks over at Jose Cuervo have you covered for the food side of things. They have vowed to cover 250 local Mexican restaurant takeout tabs, provided you can offer them proof. From now until May 5th, if you tweet a picture of your takeout receipt of a restaurant that has less than 10 locations and tweet it to Jose Cuervo, they will Venmo you the cost of your meal (assuming that they haven't already selected their 250 winners for the day).

On top of that, Moes Southwest Grill is offering free delivery on Cinco de Mayo and they're hosting a free party on Instagram Live where people can tune in to win free stuff like taco kits, gift cards, and merchandise.

California Pizza Kitchen is offering a taco kit special from April 29th to May 5th. Believe it or not, this taco kit is extremely comprehensive and borderline traditional. The kit comes with cilantro, limes, tomatoes, grilled poblanos, raw onion, stewed black beans, house-made flour tortillas, and your choice of protein. For an extra $32, you can get a pitcher of margaritas added to the bundle as well.

However, it's probably best to support your local restaurants. Everyone is taking a hit right now, and the chain restaurants are the only ones that are sitting pretty comfortably. Please look to support your community over corporate entities, but if you have no other options and still want to celebrate, have at it.
