Coco Rocha expressed her disdain for the ideas that models are “expected to be blank canvases.” Rocha said that she recalls being told at 15 that she would never make it in the industry if she didn’t shoot nude even if it violated her personal boundaries. Fortunately, Rocha’s successful career proved them all wrong. “I decided to put certain clauses into my contract. Perhaps I heard ‘no’ more often because of it, but there are always clients who are willing to work with a confident woman who knows who she is.”
