The visitors, a ragtag group of ordinary people, were very grateful for the assistance of the utility workers, as they had struck out at first with the local city officials. The utility workers were concerned that their tools might be too forceful though, and injure what might be hidden below. They used great caution when digging below the surface—after discovering the root of the mystery, they were sure glad they did.
