Area 51 is the hottest topic on social media right now, but the Oklahoma City Animal Welfare shelter has a better way to spend your time. The shelter posted some extraterrestrial pups on their Facebook page with the caption: “Come storm our shelter!”
The post continues “We have great animals ready to protect you from the Area 51 aliens. Adoption isn’t that far out of this world! #stormtheshelter.” The post accompanies several photos of dogs in tinfoil hats, kittens asleep in the stars, and furry friends waiting to find their permanent home.
The post comes following the popularity of the viral Facebook event titled “Storm Area 51, They Can’t Stop All of Us.” Members of the event want to “see them aliens” and are excited to storm the area supposedly this September.
The shelter currently has 149 dogs, 54 cats, 2 pigs, and one hamster available to be adopted right now. If you’re anywhere near Oklahoma, consider taking one of these adorable aliens home!
