An Eleven-Year-Old Just Graduated College with Some Pretty Big Goals

An eleven-year-old, from Florida, just did the unthinkable. No, he can’t vote. No, he can’t drive. But what he can do is call himself is the owner of a college degree.

On July 21st, William Maillis, walked across the big stage and received his Associate in Arts degree from St. Petersburg College in Florida.

“I am totally fascinated by William and the work that he has done,” said Dr. Tonjua Williams, President of St. Petersburg College, “He’s extremely brilliant, very open, and collaborative.”

William began pursuing his college degree in 2016 after he graduated from high school at the age of 9. William was absolutely a prodigy from the minute he was born. At age 2 he was doing simple math and by 4, he was tackling algebra.

“Everybody has gifts from God. I was gifted with knowledge and science and history,” said William.

William’s got big plans for himself. He will continue his education, pursue his Bachelor’s degree, and continue on to pursue his doctorate in Astrophysics, all before he is 18.

Big goals for a kid with big brain power.
