17. Learn to say “Thank you” much more often
Why is it so amazing to meet someone so expressively and genuinely grateful? Is it because they’re so rare? Really? Is it that hard to say “Thank you” from the bottom of your heart?
If you need facts, one study has found that saying “thank you” led to a 66 percent increase in help offered by those who’re serving. But really, there’s no reason NOT to be more grateful. You’re alive and reading this, that’s reason enough to be thankful, and whenever someone serves you water or food when eating out, don’t forget to say thank you as well.
Do this enough and your habit of graciously saying “thank you” could end up being something that you would be more thankful for.
