They say that experience is the best teacher, and a wise man learns from the mistakes of others, so what better way to learn how to be happier, healthier and more successful people than from those who’re living “better” lives themselves?

The following is a list of ways happy, healthy and successful people live their lives differently from most!

1. Stop drinking coffee

While most of us believe that we perform better on caffeine, the truth is actually quite the opposite. What’s actually happened is that people have become so dependent on caffeine that they use it just to be productive, when in fact, we really don’t need it nor do we benefit much from it.

Michael Singer argues in his book, The Untethered Soul that your energy should come from within and not from external stimulants. And, as it turns out, science backs up his claim.

Try to give up caffeine and live a healthier lifestyle – eat healthy, sleep and wake up early and exercise regularly – and see what happens. Although withdrawal headaches can be annoying, you can avoid it by replacing caffeine with something else. You should probably see the effects after a few days.

2. Pray or meditate

You don’t even have to be religious because the only goal is to gain a state of clarity and focus. Sure, it may take some time to actually get there. But, once you do, praying or meditating regularly, such as when you wake up, in the afternoon and before you go to sleep, can help you clear your mind and focus on tomorrow/today.

Again, whether you choose to pray or meditate, your goal should be clarity and focus, as in, finding out what do you want to be about today.
