Historical Context
Since this may be hard to grasp to just tell how old these artifacts are, here is an infamous painting of Paul Revere during his Midnight Ride. These findings are from around this time, and some of them, around the same year. This man, that you read about and learned about in your elementary school history classes, was one of the people that handled and touched the findings and placed it in the box for us to find. He was the original engraver of the silver plate. It’s incredible!
