Cleared Of All Suspicions
In 2003, investigators reexamined the case and found out that trace DNA, which was taken from the victim’s clothes, actually belonged to an unknown male. Perhaps the Ramseys weren’t lying all along, that someone actually had gone into their basement to kidnap and kill their daughter.
After the police cross-checked the DNA to the Ramseys, the police cleared them of all suspicions and offered their apologies.
