The Minnesota Timberwolves announced guard Derrick Rose will be sidelined indefinitely.
Rose underwent arthroscopic surgery to remove bone chips from his right elbow injury. The procedure took place at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota by Drs. Shawn O’Driscoll and Joaquin Sanchez-Sotelo in collaboration with Timberwolves Team Orthopedic Surgeon, Dr. Diane Dahm.
Rose managed to bring life back to his career this season, averaging 18.0 points, 4.3 assists, and career highs in field goals and 3 pointers at 48.2 percent and 37.0 percent, respectively.
This summer, Rose, a 10-year NBA veteran, will be an unrestricted free agent.
