Anthony Hopkins Passing the Hours by Playing Piano for His Cat

An unexpected result of the coronavirus pandemic is the opportunity to see celebrities in their natural habitats. Chris Martin a la Coldplay has been singing to an empty room, Ellen has been watching herself on TV, David Spade has done a stand-up set in his living room, and Justin Bieber has been dancing to pass the time—but Anthony Hopkins may take the cake.

Hopkins, best known for playing Hannibal Lecter, posted a wholesome video of himself on Twitter playing the piano to entertain his cat, Niblo. This is the kind of content we're looking for, celebrities. Take notes.

"Niblo is making sure I stay healthy and demands I entertain him in exchange," said Hopkins. The 82-year-old Oscar winner has been vocal in the past about his passion for composing classical music. In 2012, he released an album of musical works.

"I've been composing music all my life and if I'd been clever enough at school I would like to have gone to music college. As it was I had to settle for being an actor," said the Westworld and Silence of the Lambs star.

Hopkins has shared his love for Niblo in the past, posting many videos of himself hanging out with his furry friend. In the wake of the coronavirus, residents—particularly elderly people—have been urged to stay home across the globe.
