In 2008, when Heath Ledger tragically died of an overdose, Michelle William was left to tend to Matilda on her own. Fortunately, Matilda adjusted well to the loss and she is edging her way into adulthood right now. She is just 16 years old at the moment, and she plans on staying out of the public eye for the foreseeable future.
