A Baby Pangolin

This photo was originally published in “Documenting the World’s Animals, One Picture at a Time,” in April 2016.

Pangolin Conservation, a non-profit organization in St. Augustine, Florida, takes in abandoned and stray pangolin and helps preserve them in hopes of releasing them into the wild someday.

It’s safe to say that this baby African white-bellied tree pangolin, who’s hitching a ride on its mother’s back, definitely isn’t ready to be released anytime soon.
