Teen Walks Hours To Work, Now Gets To Drive Thanks To GoFundMe Campaign

According to the GoFundMe page, Benicia Police Department Corporal Kirk Keffer met Jourdan as he was walking alone one eventful night. The office was reportedly “impressed with Jourdan’s work ethic and commitment to his dreams”, so he asked for helped from the Benicia Police Officers’ Association to see what they could to to help this young man out.

While they couldn’t exactly provide him a car, the BPOA did agree to buy a bike for Jourdan.

Soon as the news story broke out, plenty of people from across the United States also started offering donations to Jourdan to help him out.

The police department then soon started a GoFundMe page just for Duncan.

Now, thanks to the kindness of the local police officers and from strangers all over the country, the 18-year-old now has a used Volkswagen Passat to use to get to his job instead of having to walk nearly five hours to-and-from every day.
