You don’t even have to be religious because the only goal is to gain a state of clarity and focus. Sure, it may take some time to actually get there. But, once you do, praying or meditating regularly, such as when you wake up, in the afternoon and before you go to sleep, can help you clear your mind and focus on tomorrow/today.
